Tiago Aprígio
Tiago Aprígio is the founder and managing director of HeritEdge, a real estate and hospitality initiative focused on the rehabilitation and activation of heritage properties in Portugal’s interior. His professional background spans entrepreneurship, business management, real estate investment, and hospitality operations, bringing a strategic and execution-driven approach to every project.
Before formalising his architectural path, Tiago built and led businesses across service and operations-intensive sectors, developing strong expertise in project management, financial planning, licensing processes, operational setup, and asset optimisation. This multidisciplinary experience allows him to approach heritage projects not only from a design perspective, but also from a feasibility, sustainability, and long-term value creation standpoint.
Tiago holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Architecture and Urbanism at Universidade Portucalense, where his academic focus complements his hands-on experience in property rehabilitation, adaptive reuse, and rural development. His architectural practice is closely tied to real projects, allowing theory and execution to evolve in parallel.
At HeritEdge, Tiago oversees the full lifecycle of each initiative, from opportunity analysis and acquisition strategy to licensing coordination, refurbishment management, and operational launch. His work is driven by the belief that Portugal’s interior can be revitalised through thoughtful reuse of existing buildings, balancing cultural identity, modern comfort, and economic viability.
Tiago’s mission with HeritEdge is to demonstrate that heritage properties are not static assets of the past, but living structures with contemporary relevance, capable of supporting sustainable tourism, long-term investment, and meaningful engagement with local communities.
